We are in the process of updating our interface in which the top right toolbar has been removed and all options can now be found on the left-hand navigation menu.
This is a phased release so is currently not updated on all accounts which is why you may still have access to the tool bar on one company.
For the updated company, you will now find 'Pay Bills' under the '+ New' button on the top of the left hand menu.

On bills, theere was always a PAY BILLS button - this has recently disappered . How can I mark bills as paid?

Thanks for joining this thread. We haven't made an update to the way bills are paid in QBO so you should still see the option to pay bills from the '+ New' button or by selecting 'Make payment' on the bill.
To test this isn't caused by a cache issue on the browser you're using, please clear the cache and then fully close and reload this before signing back into QuickBooks - for best performance results, we recommend using Google Chrome as the default browser.
Please get back to us below if this does not fix the issue so we can take a closer look. 🧐
