My expense category has changed. I can no longer add that I bought something , it just says category unknown

We'll be happy to take a closer look at your reported issue with the expense category. For clarification, are you receiving this message on the web version of QuickBooks or on the app? 

 

If using the app, please check that you are updated to the latest version available in your app store. If this doesn't fix, please specify which mobile system you're with (iOS or Android).
