Can I search in QBO for a specific word within customer addresses - for instance a road name? This was possible and very useful in earlier QuickBooks.

This was possible and very useful in QuickBooks Desktop.

Yes, you can search for a specific word within customer addresses. Let’s add the Address column in the Customers Center to easily find the information you need. I’m here to help make sure you can do this with just a few clicks.

Here’s how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), press the Sales menu on the left panel to choose Customers.
  2. This action will open the Customers Center.
  3. From there, click the Gear icon above the Action column and tick the box for Address.search fnx.png
  4. Navigate to the Search field beside the Batch action section and type a keyword in the field.search fnx.1.png
  5. The online program will show a list of words similar to the one you entered inside the box.

For future reference, I’m adding some links below about keeping track of your customers’ information. From there, you’ll learn how to import or export customers via Excel.

Also, QuickBooks Online helps makes finding entries quick and easy. Here’s an article that will guide you on: How to search for transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you need help with finding other customer information. I’ll be glad to assist further. Enjoy the rest of the day.
