Since the last iOS update most of my customers have disappeared and also a lot of my expense and asset categories have too. What gives?

I can’t re add my customers because it says they already exist even when they don’t appear when I search for them. It’s the same for the expense category’s. Try to add but it says they exist already even though they aren’t on the list and they don’t appear when searched

I have fixes here to make your customer available and other categories in QuickBooks Mobile Apps, @p70shooter. This way we can start creating transactions under them and assign categories.

 

Keeping your application updated is highly recommended to access the most recent features and fixes. In addition, clearing the app data can help resolve common issues that may occur while using the application. This process refreshes the application, giving it a fresh start and enhancing its performance. Please ensure that you are connected to the internet and follow the steps below:

  

  1. Proceed to your phone's settings.
  2. Select General, then choose iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap QuickBooks Online from the application list.
  4. Select Offload App to free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app.

 

If the same happens, you can uninstall and reinstall the mobile app to avoid these unusual behaviors and start fresh.

 

On the other hand, it will also help us determine if the problem is in the application itself by logging your QBO company file on your mobile web browser and seeing your customer list and missing categories.

I have uninstalled data and the problem is still the same. I also uninstalled the app and the problem is still the same. I also tried your suggestion of trying in browser and with that it worked fine so the problem is definitely with the mobile app. The problem has arisen with the last update, before that it worked fine.

  2. Put "talk to a human" and hit Continue.
