Using Dataswitcher, will customer inactive flags be carried over from Sage50 or will I have to go through and mark them inactive in QB?

Welcome aboard to the Community, hertranslations.

I’m here to share some information about moving from data from Sage 50 to QBO using Dataswitcher.

When converting your Sage 50 data to the online version, the following information is carried over.

  • Customer details
  • Supplier details
  • Chart of accounts
  • Account balances
  • Customer balances
  • Supplier balances
  • Items list
  • Historical transactions

If there are transactions associated with the inactive customers, they will also be transferred to QBO. You’ll have to hide them, so they will not show as active in your company.

  1. Go to the Sales menu on the left panel to choose Customers.
  2. This will display a complete list of customers.
  3. From there, mark the ones you’re trying to hide.
  4. Then, click the Batch actions drop-down to choose Make inactive.

  5. Click Yes to confirm the action.

For a complete guide about the conversion process, let me share this article. It contains links to help migrate your Sage 50 data to the online version. From there, you’ll see answers to frequently asked questions and tasks to perform after converting the information: Our comprehensive guide to Dataswitcher.
