hi,
hope someone can help as quickbooks helpline cannot.
we migrated from quickbooks standard payroll to advanced and i am attempting to add payroll history. I was led to believe it would be a cut and paste situation but it is not, i am faced with trying to understand and add NI information that is broken down into LEL UEL and lots of other categories I didn't even know about until I had to google them. anyone have any good tips or can tell me where I might be going wrong because i have spent all day on this and need it done :(

Entering your prior payroll data is our priority and I'm right here to help ensure you're able to add it to your QuickBooks Online Advanced, Kirsten 1.
You can import the payroll data by batch using either an XLSX or CSV template. You'll have to start by exporting the XLSX or CSV template file first, adding data to it, and then importing it into QuickBooks.
To export the template:
This file contains the column headers for the import. You simply need to add a row for each employee that you wish to import.
Once you have finished editing the XLSX or CSV file, upload the file. Here's how:
If you need more details about the process above, you can check out this article: Employee import via Excel/CSV in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.
If you need assistance with this, I suggest getting back in touch with our QuickBooks Payroll Live Team. I know you've already contacted them. However, they can check if employees’ information, pay slips, and reports were successfully migrated. If not, you won't be able to add prior payroll data.
Also, the QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll hub includes links to common payroll-related activities. It also contains a video tutorial to help you complete each task.
