Can anyone advise us on what to do? We trying to run payroll but the SSP for an employe is not reflecting on the payroll, that's preventing us from completing payroll?

Thank you for bringing this payroll concern to our attention, @office335. I have some details that will help you run payroll successfully with the correct Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) reflected for your employees.

Let's begin by checking if the Average Weekly Earnings (AWE) have been entered correctly for the employee when setting up the SSP.

In some cases, if it's missing or incorrect, it can prevent the SSP from appearing correctly in the payroll. This information is essential so the system can calculate and display the SSP.

Here's how you can change or update an SSP in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll:

  1. Log in to your QBO Payroll account.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. Click the Edit button under the Statutory leave option.
  4. Tap the pencil icon on the previously created SSP.   image (141).png
  5. Update the necessary amount of AWE.
  6. Hit Save.

After updating the AWE, return to the payroll screen to see if the SSP now appears correctly. If the issue persists, you may need to delete the existing SSP entry and recreate it with the correct information. Check out this guide to do so: Add Statutory Sick Pay in QuickBooks Core Payroll.

If you're utilizing QuickBooks Advanced Payroll, check out this similar resource in managing SSP: Manage Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) in QuickBooks Advanced.

I hope these steps help you resolve the SSP issue and complete your payroll successfully. If you need any further clarification or assistance with this or any other QuickBooks payroll matters, please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
