I recognize the urgency of addressing this matter promptly and appreciate the details you have provided us, Ian. Let me connect you to the appropriate support team that can assist you with your payroll concern.
To begin, please know that starting in March 2024, we’ll be introducing QuickBooks Core Payroll. A new and improved platform that will replace our existing Standard Payroll offering as mentioned in your email.
However, it seems there is a specific issue preventing your migration due to multiple National Insurance (NI) letters for your employees. Given this, I recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support team. Our representatives have the expertise and tools to guide you on the next steps and help you handle your situation effectively.
Here's how you can reach our live team:
For more information about this transition, please refer to this article: Introducing QuickBooks Core Payroll: upgrading your Standard Payroll experience.
Once moved to Core Payroll, you'll be prompted to enter your main payroll contact and reconnect NEST. At that time, you'll want to invite your employees to Workforce so they can conveniently access their payslips.
Please keep us posted on your progress. If you have any further questions about the migration to QuickBooks Core Payroll or have any payroll-related concerns, feel free to reach out anytime by clicking the Reply button. We'll be here in the Community to help.
Same thing I had, absolute shambles. Lost all my historical payroll and will now be charged double for the privilege. So cross!!
This option did not work for me as I then have to be transferred to a different department that deals with payroll, you need to do better quickbooks, your customer support is shockingly bad
Hi Abster, thanks for joining this thread. I'm sorry to see you've also been impacted by this issue, and I can understand the inconvenience it has caused to your business.
Currently, as the Core Payroll product does not support more than 1 NI letter change in a tax year, we wouldn't be able to migrate your data. As a workaround, we can migrate you to our Advanced Payroll product which does support NI letter changes.
If you would like to hear more about this, please contact our team through live messaging where we can discuss the process or book you in for a migration. We'll be here if you have any further queries.
I have contacted them and been told I will have to re-enter all my payroll and sign a disclaimer and allow Intuit full access by setting them up as company administrator to install this change and then be charged twice the price for something because QuickBooks did not do their due diligence before migrating us to Core. But yet again I don't really have any other option other than switching providers completely. it's more than an inconvenience!!!
