Can I cancel QuickBooks payroll only?

Can I cancel QuickBooks payroll only?

Yes, you can cancel your payroll service only with QuickBooks Online (QBO), and I'm here to make this process easy for you, @Liverbury

 

We're sorry to let you go. However, when you're no longer be needing our payroll service, you can cancel your account through the Billing & Subscription page. Make sure you have Primary or Company Administrator access to do so.

 

Before cancelling your payroll account, make sure to do the following:

 

  • Complete and process your final payroll
  • Print necessary payroll reports
  • Export all necessary payroll reports/data for future use
  • Pay any outstanding tax deposits
  • Process and file any outstanding annual or quarterly forms

 

Once you're ready, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Billing & Subscription menu.
  4. In the Payroll section, select Cancel.
  5. Fill out the online cancellation form to complete the process.

 

Also, the length of time QuickBooks stores your data under our data retention policy depends on how your account was cancelled. To know more about this, I'd recommend checking out this article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?.
