Yes, you can cancel your payroll service only with QuickBooks Online (QBO), and I'm here to make this process easy for you, @Liverbury.
We're sorry to let you go. However, when you're no longer be needing our payroll service, you can cancel your account through the Billing & Subscription page. Make sure you have Primary or Company Administrator access to do so.
Before cancelling your payroll account, make sure to do the following:
- Complete and process your final payroll
- Print necessary payroll reports
- Export all necessary payroll reports/data for future use
- Pay any outstanding tax deposits
- Process and file any outstanding annual or quarterly forms
Once you're ready, here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Account and settings.
- Go to the Billing & Subscription menu.
- In the Payroll section, select Cancel.
- Fill out the online cancellation form to complete the process.
