Hello StoneBaked,
Is this there first pay run in Quickbooks, if it is, you can replicate the pay run for April, ensure you have the same employee id number in Quickbooks as what the employees had in Sage and ensure they are getting the same figures and don't submit the rti for April as it's already been submitted via Sage or you can set it up for May in Quickbooks entering the YTD Year to date) from Sage, still ensuring that you have the same employee id numbers.
Hi StoneBaked
What payroll system are you using, standard or advanced? Can you confirm whether or not you were initally ran the payroll in QuickBooks up until March and your colleague has ran the payroll for April and submitted the RTI from another system?
Thanks for reply
- Standard online payroll
- No, we came across to QB for this year so was ready to go, she has run the payroll to complete submission on another system (Sage Online)

Ok and QB will be ok to miss an RTI submission?
If we simply use YTD figures from April is that safer?
Hello Stonebaker,
If you have already submitted the rti in sage then you will not need to submit it in Quickbooks, if you haven't submitted the rti for april in sage then you can do it in Quickbooks.
And it is up to you which you do, if you do the YTD or you can replicate the payrun for april.
