Hi, I want to do a self assessment is it possible to do it here?

Thanks for reaching out to us, birgueleny-hotma.

Yes, you can perform a self-assessment within your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. I'll be walking you through the steps to make the self-assessment process simpler and stress-free.

You can start by setting up your Tax Profile so we can accurately calculate your self-employment taxes based on your business income, spending, and allowable expenses. Once done, you'll have to download the Tax Summary report. This will be your reference in filling out the Self-Assessment form.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Select Reports from the sidebar menu.
  2. Choose Tax Summary.
  3. Set the appropriate tax year, then click the View link.
  4. Select Download icon.

I recommend reading this article to be guided in matching up the numbers: Year-end Taxes. Additionally, you can put your total expenses in box 31 of the form if your annual turnover is below £85,000.

If you need further guidance from an accountant in completing your tax return, you can find one here.

Lastly, here are some tips and tricks that you can follow to ensure that all your accounts are in order and ready for tax time.

I'll be right here to keep helping if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions. Have a pleasant day ahead.
