How do I receipt a HMRC tax advance to pay an employee for a tax refund and generate the EPS required?

Hello David475, welcome and thanks for posting on the Community page, Assuiming it is a PAYE refund you are referring to, then if you are using Quickbooks for payroll it should all record in payroll automatically for you, as long as you have set up the employee correctly. (with the correct YTD figers ect).

Here is some more information if it is advanced payroll you are using, you can make an adjustment on the payrun and then you send an EPS via reports. When you are in the payrun>click on the person> click on the action button at the bottom right in green> then you will see the option of adjust PAYE> add the amount in the box and also add a note (you would need to put a minus on it to show as money back if not it will then be removed of their gross wages) > then it will then show on the payslip and it will then go on an FPS and then if you have set up the auto EPS it will go to HMRC or you send one manually to them.

In standard/core you would need to create a pay type but that would be subject to PAYE and an EPS would only generate normally.
