I've switched to a limited company how do I change trading name and add payroll to existing plan?

I know a way to get these tasks done in QuickBooks, jmplastering87.

 

I have two ways to change the name of your account. The first option is by logging in to your Intuit Account. Then, change the name under Personal info.

 

Please see the screenshot below for a visual guide:

 

The second option is under About you in your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Under About you column, select Intuit Account
  3. Go to Personal Info section, then click Edit on the name. 
  4. Enter your business name and hit Save

 

In adding a payroll subscription, I'd suggest checking out different QuickBooks Online plans to choose the best option for you. If you wish to transfer subscriptions you can convert your file to QuickBooks Online. Before proceeding, please note that we can't go back to QuickBooks Self-Employed. 

 

You can use the Get started with payroll article to walk you through how to successfully set up and use our payroll service. 

 

Additionally, I've included our QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview for reference. From there, you're able to see how the program helps you track everything throughout the year.

 

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.

If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to a few months. If you purchase from the Trial account, you have to pay the regular rate.
