The Download Payroll Data button works by fetching information directly from QuickBooks Payroll’s backend, so if certain data is missing, it’s likely there’s an issue on the server-side or a syncing glitch. Unfortunately, troubleshooting this fully as a user can be difficult because payroll data is generated and stored securely within QuickBooks’ systems.
As this involves sensitive and critical payroll information, we recommend reaching out to our Customer Phone Support team. They have the tools, access, and expertise to identify and fix backend syncing problems. They can help retrieve missing payroll data for Periods 3 to 12 and address any system issues.
