If I set up a location, what does the option "This location has a different title for sales forms." actually do or change?

I have worked out what all the other options do, but not this one.

Hello paul-jamesonacco

Thanks for posting on the Community.

This option allows you to enter a different name for the sales form type that appears on the header of the transaction.

Thanks for the reply @GeorgiaC

I'm not sure I fully understand your answer.  I'll give you a specific example which might help.  I have been using the Sample Company, and I have set up a Location called Test.  In the 'title for sales form' field I have entered a Title called Test Title.

I've raised a Sales Invoice using the Location 'Test'.

Where exactly do I see the 'Test Title' text please?

Thanks again

I appreciate you getting back with additional details, Paul. Let me share insights about the customization option for location tracking in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You may be able to set a different location title when setting up a new location in QuickBooks. However, the information isn't visible on your sales transactions. I know how important it is for you to locate the title added to your forms. While it's unavailable, you can send a feature request directly to our product developers. This way, review and look into this option when adding a new location.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Hit Next to submit feedback.

Once done, your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your QBO experience. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

I'm adding this link for more tips about this feature: Customise sales forms by location.

On the other hand, if you want to upload, edit, or delete logos from your sale forms, you may review the resources from this link as your guide: Add, customise, or remove logos on sales forms.

Please let me know if you have follow-up questions while classifying your transactions by location. I'm just a few clicks away to help. Have a good one!
