I'm using QB Advanced Payroll and have done weekly payruns since May 2021.
When I went to do the payrun this week, a message came up on screen saying 'Overdue Payroll' for April 2022.
Let's figure out the cause of the overdue message and missing pay run and fix it to keep you going with your payroll task, VGG-Accounting.
Beforehand, make sure your payroll subscription is active. It could be the cause of the issue.
First, I recommend running payroll reports to verify if the pay run is completely missing in the program.
Then, I recommend logging out and logging back into your QuickBooks Online (QBO). Doing so refreshes your account for all the updates to take effect.
If an error message still shows and the pay run is missing, I suggest accessing your account in a private or incognito mode. This way, we can check if this is a browser cache issue. Cache data helps our web pages to load faster. However, too much of it causes problems that affect the views and performance of your account.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once you run your payroll successfully, I recommend clearing the browser cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this could be the cause.
If none of this fixes the problem, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They have tools to investigate its cause and provide a solution to resolve this. Here's how:
