QB wants to send FPS in M11, rather than EPS?

Hi,

I have just completed my payroll for month 11 (very early in the month) and rather than wanting to submit an EPS to HMRC as usual, it wants me to run a Final Year end payroll. I still have to process the wages in M12 (March) so can anyone advise what's gone wrong? Is it because i've done the payroll so early? How do I rectify this? It says:

"Now notify HMRC about your tax year end

Let HMRC know this is your final payroll of the 2019-2020 tax year by submitting a Full Payment Submission (FPS)."

Many thanks in advance!

Hi there, jalexanderplant.

You can get this alert if the schedule for the tax year is incorrect. To confirm, let's go to your Account and Settings.

Here's how:

  1. At the top right, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings
  3. On the left panel, click Payroll.
  4. Go to the Pay schedule section and make sure the first pay date and the days they're being paid for are correct.

I've attached some articles you can use when filing the EPS:

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. Have a great day.

QB wants to send FPS in M11, rather than EPS?

Hello,

Many thanks for your reply. I have gone back into the system and it seems to be okay.

It's now asking for a "Full Payment Submission" which I think is what normally happens and it's submitted successfully. When I try to run M12 it advises me correctly that this is the final payment submission for the tax year.

Thanks again.
