You can run a Journal Report to see the salary expense in QuickBooks Desktop. Let me show you how:
1. Go to Reports.
2. Select Account and Taxes and click Journal.
3. Click Customize Report.
4. On the Display Tab, select Custom from the Dates dropdown.
5. Then, Go to the Filters tab.
6. Click Name from the Search filter fields then select Michael.
7. Once done click OK.
If you'll want to print the report, you can click the Print button in the toolbar of the report then select the Report command from the dropdown menu.
