Statutory Paternity Leave & Full Pay

Hi, I have a staff member shortly going on paternity leave. How do I process statutory paternity leave but also top up his salary to full pay? I'm using Advanced pay roll. Thanks.

Hi Trina, thanks for joining the Community :) - you can tick the box to offset the SPP when creating the leave in the employees settings; this will reduce their regular salary payment by the SPP amount so that there will be no net impact to the employee's regular pay - click here to view our guide with full details.

Statutory Paternity Leave & Full Pay

Hi Georgina,

I have the same query regarding Statutory Paternity Pay whilst topping up the remainder of the wage to full pay. I have followed the steps based on the guide link you provided, and the SPP is not showing on this employee's pay at all?

I'm not sure if the employee being paid hourly rather then salary has something to do with this?

Hello Hayley Almond, working hourly shouldn’t be any different to salary as long as they have worked with the company for 26 weeks they qualify. You can try excluding and adding the employee back into the payrun to see if the settings update.  If that still doesn’t resolve it then I suggest you ring the support line or use our chat service so you can set up a screenshare with the agent so it can be looked into more.  The supportline number is 0808 234 5337 the line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm.
