Stopping workplace pension mid year

How do I stop workplace pension in the middle of the year? My employees opted out of workplace pension in M12 but when I make that change, the system assumes employee was opted out the entire year and ends up giving refunds in the payroll.

We'll be happy to help you with your payroll query in QuickBooks Online. 

 

First, please rollback (delete) the pay period in which the pension refund is showing and then re-run this to see if it is removed. 

 

If you need any support rolling back, or if the refund is not removed completing this action, please contact our support team directly by chat or on 0808 234 5337. The agents available here will have access to set up a remote screenshare to view the payroll with you. 

 

In addition, in rare circumstances where an employee wants to opt-out of the pension, but a refund isn't due, you can choose Cease Membership and no refund will be calculated.
