I recognize the urgency of getting this matter promptly, Christine974. I'll provide information to help retrieve missing payroll data in your account.

We can check and verify the company file you've utilized if you're currently in the right account when reviewing this year's payroll data.

However, if you're using the correct account and the current payroll data isn't showing from there, you can assess your company's audit log to review any unusual activities or changes made to your file, causing the data to disappear. To do this:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. Select the Filter panel to filter UserDate, or Events and narrow the results.
  3. Then, hit Apply.

Additionally, you can visit this guide for more details: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, it's best to contact our Customer Care Team to have your account reviewed and further investigate this query in a secure environment.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. In your QBO account, click Help.
  2. Click the Search tab, and click Contact Us.
  3. Enter the error message in the description box, and select Continue.
  4. Start a chat with a support expert.

Once everything looks good, you'll want to access and view payroll reports to better understand your business's finances and employees. You can check out any of the links below according to your payroll plan:

I'll keep this thread available so you can always reply in the comments below if there's anything else you need additional assistance managing payroll data in your file. Stay safe.
