Quickbooks not connected to HMRC

Hello, a client is unable to submit their VAT return as there is an error stating that 'We can't connect to HMRC right now'. I have instructed the client to break the connection and start again, however the error is still there after the client has done this. What other problems can be flagging this issue please?

Welcome to the Community page, 

 

So it could be a few things, your client would be best off ringing the support line on 0808 234 5337 the line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm and give the agent on the phone their vat registration number and then the agent will be able to check in the system to see what it is saying and go from there to get it resolved for them.

I cant submit payroll run to HMRC  and it is giving me the error message below. could you please help?

 

 An error occurred submitting Pay Run

  • Error: , fatal: 1046 - Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service. | Gateway
 

 

This is very frustrating, we are more likely to get penalties for late submission, our credentials are correct.

  • If you copy and paste your user ID and password from elsewhere when signing in, try entering these details manually. 
  • Check that you’ve entered the correct PAYE reference number. 
  • If you’ve recently activated your account, it may take some time for HMRC to verify your account and update their platform.
