We can’t connect to HMRC right now... Effective date for new scheme

Trying to eliminate the issues that is preventing me from connecting to HMRC MTD.

Maybe it is the "Effective date for new scheme" which is set to 31/12/2020 - however, I moved across to QBO only two months ago, but backdated entries with an effective start date of 01.01.2023.

 

Our VAT Periods are March, June, September and December.  Is this the issue, and how do I change it, as it will not allow me to update.

 

Other possible conflicts, we posted the first two VAT returns using Sage, so whilst we need to record these returns, we don't need to post to HMRC online - would this be the issue.... any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Christiaan, Thanks for reaching out to us on the Community page, It is not the effective date of the new scheme, that is only used when changing between cash and accrual. We would advise you ring the support line on 0808 234 5337 the line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm and is free from any UK landline or mobile. So we can get some information off you and then we will be able to have a look in our systems and tools to see what is exactly causing the problem for you there and get it resolved.

Still no joy!

HMRC Claim everything is fine their end, and suggest QBO enter the “Manually Generate The Period”

QBO Support cannot seem to process my return!  Still having invalid period key!

 

Any suggestions?
