I have been using Quickbooks desktop for 25 odd years and I am gutted that the desktop version is no longer available in the UK although for some reason it is still available elsewhere. I have moved my business accounts to the online version now, which is fine, but I am curious if anyone else used the desktop version to manage their own personal finances as well, as did I?.
I have been trying to find an alternative product that looks or is similar to desktop that I can use to keep track of my personal finances, I don't want to have to pay a monthly subscription for this as I usually have three separate companies set up, to separate different finances that I look after.
Any alternative products or even better, any way I can get a functioning copy of Quickbooks would be great
Any help greatly appreciated.
You may consider QB Desktop US version and buy the the new license through partners. Then you can use a MTD Bridging app if required.
I would be happy to purchase a US version of Quickbooks desktop but will it work in the UK on a UK PC as intuit have stopped the desktop version working in the UK already. Also, who can I purchase an official version from?, what partners?.......Even an old US version would be fine for my requirements, I don't need any of the online or tax elements, all I want to do is manually enter transactions and be able to reconcile bank accounts and run a few reports - profit and loss etc
Contact me in private and we can help to obtain the license for QB Desktop 2023 US version (annual subscription) or QB Desktop 2020 CA version (one time license). We can share the trial version to make sure it works on your machine.
