Hi,
I've had problems re-confirming the consent for linking my account and bank advised me to withdraw consent and try again.
But now I can't do it - I can't link my account as it says it is already in my Quickbooks account, but because I withdrew consent it is inactive.
I need advice how to reinstate consent for an account that's been withdrawn.
TIA
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community. Which bank are you attempting to re-authorise? You could try fully disconnecting and reconnecting the bank following the steps in the article provided: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/help-article/bank-feeds/disconnect-accounts-connec...
Please note, as per the article, before you disconnect the bank ensure that you have added/matched any transactions that are on the for review page of the banking section.
Thank you, it seems easy to do... but I can't see the account now that I withdrew consent :(
It's Capital One credit card.
When I go to Chart of accounts I can see the account, but the only options are - Edit (allows me to change the name), Make Inactive (says it deactivates this account - completes all transactions associated with the accounts), Run Report.
Maybe Make Inactive could be the Unlink-ing/Deleting?
If I deactivate the account, would I be able to add it again and link it to Quickbooks?
Thank you for your help.
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- As the bank isn't visible on the banking screen to disconnect the account you should be able to disconnect it from the chart of accounts. If you navigate to the chart of accounts, as we can see you have done, select edit, there should be an option/tick box that states 'Disconnect this account on save', please select the option > save > establish if you're then able to reconnect the account via the link account option on the main banking page.
The only thing that I can do when I go to Edit is change the name of the account and the account description and save these changes.
There is no option Disconnect the account :(
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- Thanks for trying the suggested steps. We'd be grateful if you can provide us with the exact wording of the message relating to consent when you attempt to link your credit card.
When I try to link my credit card, it takes me to the bank and I login, but then I see that message "Try again or go back to select a different account provider. (571)"
I choose the correct account provider and I can login into my account
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- Thanks, where are you then seeing the message regarding consent?
I am not sure I understand the question :(
I need to give consent for transactions to be shown, as I withdrew it.
For a few months I couldn't see any transactions from my credit card account showing in Quickbooks and that is why I withdrew consent so that to re-link the account again.
Since then, I can't link the account (get the message from my previous post) and I can't find a way to Unlink/Disconnect it as well, nothing you suggested I can see in my account :(
It is getting too complicated for me (it's been days and I still can't resolve it :( ), and I might consider changing the accounting software.
Thanks for your help.
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- When you're linking the account from within QuickBooks and then you're directed to your bank, receive the pop-up, do you have two areas within the pop-up, login and select bank account and do you complete the two areas?
Yes, I do - I select the bank and then login to my bank account.
I consent to share bank transactions, then login to my bank account and confirm what to share, then when I click continue to finish the process... nothing happens and the message appears - "Try again or go back to select a different account provider. (571)"
Hi ralimarly-yahoo- Thanks for confirming. I have created a case in relation to this contact, I'm going to send you an email from the case and I'd be grateful if you can reply with the requested information so the issue can be investigated further.
