I have the self employed subscription. Im often asked to have my UTR number on my invoice but cant see how i can add this.

I can help you add the UTR number to your QuickBooks account.
In QuickBooks, you don't need to put that UTR code you got off HMRC into your account. However, you'll be able to enter it by going to Accounts and Settings if you're using QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the reply. I dont need to add my UTR code to my account. I need to add it to my invoices. I have QBSE and cant add custom fields.
It may be something i add into my payment notes

Yes, adding payment notes is the other way around.
I'm here to add details about the custom field in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Adding a custom field and entering UTR within the invoice in QBSE is currently unavailable.
The steps provided by my colleague above is available for QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, you can tag invoices and transactions. Group tags together and run reports to see how specific areas of your business are performing. They have no bearing on your books. Instead, they're a way for you to keep track an important information.
