We're not aware of any specific issue with this message showing in QuickBooks. So that we can check this further, please confirm if you're using the Standard or the Advanced version of QuickBooks Online Payroll. Additionally, if you're able to attach a screenshot of the message in your response, that would be helpful. Thanks!
Thanks for clarifying. Please navigate to the Cog > Settings > Payroll > Online filing with HMRC > Remove your gateway user ID & password and save.
Please then log out & back into QuickBooks and re-enter the information, and check that the option to 'Save gateway credentials' is selected.
If the error still shows, you may need to turn on notifications and messages on your HMRC account. To do so:
1. Sign in to your account on the HMRC website.
2. Select the Change how you get tax code and student loan notices link.
3. Make sure that the notices are all set to Yes.
