Can I add the mileage shortcut to the app as it’s disappeared?

Congratulations on making your first post here, @joeflowlance-gma. I’d be glad to help you add the mileage shortcut back to the app.

In QuickBooks Online mobile app, you can only track mileage if you're signed in as a master admin user for the company file. Otherwise, you'll need to transfer this role to you.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the current primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  3. Find the user you want to make the primary admin.
  4. In the Role column, make sure they are listed as Admin.
  5. Click the dropdown arrow ▼ in the Action section. Then, press Make master admin.
  6.  Enter the verification code sent to the phone number or email on file for your account. Tap Continue.
  7. Select Make master admin again to confirm the change.
  8. Sign out of QuickBooks.

An invitation email will be sent to you. You can click the link and accept it to be the primary admin. You’ll want to read this article to learn about the different options for user roles and access permissions: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

If you’re the master admin already and you’re unable to see the mileage tracking, I recommend performing some troubleshooting steps from this reference: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
