Can not create INVOICE from PC but works fie from MOBILE

Hi! I have no ideas why I can create invoice form mobile APP but not form PC as it says si need QB Online subscription for some reason. Plesae help.

Hi there, GLLTD.

 

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll share troubleshooting steps to ensure you're ready to create invoices successfully using a PC. Then, the contrast between the two versions of QuickBooks.

 

Each version of QuickBooks is designed to address specific business needs. That said, QuickBooks Online is a web-based product that allows you to access your company anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. If you're using QuickBooks Online and you're unable to create an invoice from PC but able to enter from a mobile app, it could be the cache full of history and temp files caused unexpected behaviors. That said, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

 

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

 

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

 

However, QuickBooks Desktop is installed on your desktop computer and stores your data locally or on a network server, you can access QuickBooks Desktop offline. With this, subscribing/subscription from QuickBooks Online isn't necessary since these two software is different. If you're unable to create an invoice from there, I suggest running the  Verify and Rebuild Data Utilities to get this sorted out. The Verify Data utility identifies any potential data damage issues that might've caused some memorized reports that don't work. While the Rebuild Data utility repairs damaged data in your company file. Before this, you'll have to secure a backup copy of your company file.
