I have followed the steps in the guides for QBO about how to send remittance advice (expenses -> filter for bill payments -> batch actions -> send remittance advice). However, that option simply doesn't exist in my account/for my access settings. Is there a setting somewhere I need to turn on to be able to do that? Or does paying bills via QBO automatically send remittance advice once the payment is initiated?
Hi AMcT38, thanks for joining the Community.
The remittance advice in QuickBooks isn't automated, this needs to be sent either using the batch actions option on the Expenses page (Take me there) or by opening the bill payment and selecting save & send. If you're unable to see this option, please sign into QuickBooks using a different web browser or private browsing window, and double-check that there is an email address saved in the suppliers settings. :)
I only have save & close or save in my dropdown options on bill payments. How do I enable save & send?
Thanks for getting back to the thread, @labountyconcepts. I'd love to assist you with this.
Beforehand, I want to ask about what region of QuickBooks Online version you are using. A screenshot would also be a great help.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be waiting for your reply. Take care!
I know that I'm in the US, and we have QBO Plus.
It's nice to hear from you again, AMcT38.
Sending remittance advice in the QuickBooks Online US version is unavailable. You can send your feedback straight to our Product Development team by following the steps below.
In the meantime, consider sending a customized Bill Payment List report. This way, they'll be informed that the bills have been paid. Here's how you could do it:
Alternatively, you'll want to visit our app market to look for third-party providers that can automatically email remittances to your suppliers.
