Hi info-joannewood-,
I'm here to share some information when connecting your HSBC Kinetic bank account.
Currently, the HSBC Kinetic bank is still unable to be connected with QuickBooks.
As a workaround, you can bring in your transactions manually via CSV file. Before doing so, ensure that you have the correct format. Here's an article as your guide: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Afterward, you're good to import the items.
Then, you can categorise them into their correct accounts. I've added this link as your guide: Categorise items.
That should do it, info-joannewood-. I'm just a post-away if you have questions about categorisation. I've got your back!

Thank you, that might work for general HSBC? I am starting to connect from scratch as I am new to QB.
I can’t find HSBC Kinetic listed on QB. If I select general HSBC it doesn’t recognise my Kinetic account username.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO) as your accounting partner, @info-joannewood-.
Glad to have you back here. Let me provide some details so you can connect your account seamlessly.
Currently, the HSBC Kinetic financial institution is unsupported by the program. Please visit this page to check when the connection will be available: Understanding if you can connect your bank feeds to Open Banking.
In the meantime, you'll want to upload your transactions to QBO manually using a CSV file. Once transactions are in, you'll now have to review them to ensure they are correctly categorised and matched.
Also, it's recommended to perform the reconciliation process regularly to make sure your accounts match your real-life bank statements. After that, QBO automatically generates a report so you can check your beginning and ending balances as well as those transactions left uncleared.
I always got your back if you have any other banking concerns. Don't hesitate to post a comment below. Have a great day ahead.
Before signing to Quickbooks I checked online that they (HSBC Kinetic and Quickbooks) worked together/compatible and it said they did, they don’t. I have tried uploading csv files and frankly I don’t understand the input requests, and I don’t want to rearrange files to fit your structure/setup. I am a designer, with huge time constraints, and not an accounts administrator. I thought the idea of Quickbooks was that this was a quick and automatic way to keep your books updated; so that I can spend time on my business doing what I get paid for. I feel misled about the level of compatibility to HSBC Kinetic.
When will this be connected, allowing automatic income and expense tracking? otherwise I want a refund, as the Quickbooks product does not do as it stated.
Thank you
When you search Google this comes up but this is not true.
This has just got me too. Its a nightmare
