I'm glad that you've upgraded your subscription to access the project feature in QuickBooks.

Since you're unable to view see it from the left side menus, I'd recommend running some basic troubleshooting steps in the program. 

Sometimes local internet cache files stored in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product. This can be the reason why you can't find the Project menu.

To start, open your QBO account using a private window. This mode doesn't record any activity on your local device. Here's how:


  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).


 Then, check again if you're able to see it. 


If you're able to find it, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. You can also another supported browser to access your QBO account. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.

The recommended troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague should let you have the Projects feature in the QuickBooks Online Plus version. Since it still doesn't appear on the Dashboard, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support. This way, they can pull up your account and determine the reason why you don't see the Projects feature.


Here's how to reach out to them:


  1. Click the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
  2. Tap the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue.
  3. Next, click the I still need a human button and select the Contact us link.
  4. For real-time assistance, choose the Start messaging or Get a Callback to speak with an agent.
