Hi there,tylermandy7.  I'll help you connect your bank successfully to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Error 103 will appear when login credentials provided into QuickBooks Online don't match those held by your banking institution. There are a few things that could cause this issue:

  • When attempting to establish a connection with your banking institution for the first time, you entered the incorrect credentials.
  • You choose the incorrect banking institution choice (there are often many to select from).
  • You’ll need to change the data in QuickBooks Online if you are currently connected and have updated your credentials with your financial institution.

To get through this, you'll want to ensure your sign-in information is correct. Enter your username and password directly instead of allowing the browser to auto-fill your login credentials.

To do that, these are the steps:

  1. Open a new window in your web browser and go directly to your bank’s website.
  2. Make a note of the web address. This may come in handy later.
  3. Sign in with the user ID and password you have.
  4. Note: If you have separate accounts with the bank (such as a business account and a personal account), sign in to the account you want to fix in QuickBooks.
  5. If you sign in successfully, then you know the user ID and password are correct. If you get a sign-in error, follow your bank’s instructions to get your user ID, reset your password, or both.

You can check this article to learn how to fix banking error 103 in QBO: Fix banking error 103 in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, you can manually import the bank transactions into QuickBooks. Please keep in mind that it will most likely cause duplicates once the issue gets resolved. Thus, you’ll need to exclude them moving forward.

Once everything is settled, you can visit these resources to manage your transactions in QuickBooks:

Feel free to let me know how this goes or if you still have other banking concerns. I'll be around if you need help. Have a great day.
