Hi. I have one credit card account that has multiple cards for different salespeople. I'd like it to feed into QB as separate accounts for each card. Is this possible?

The feed brings in the details on the full details description, but there are a lot of cards and I can't remember who is who! So it would be easier if I could just pull in transactions for card ending 1234 for example, separately to card ending 5678. I can then set the name of that account to the name of the person who holds it. But they all fall under the one credit card account number.

Hi there, Hello257.

Yes, it is possible to track transactions for each salesperson's card separately in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can achieve this by setting up sub-accounts under the main credit card account. If your bank supports individual feeds for each card, you can link each card directly to its respective sub-account, and transactions will flow in automatically.

However, some banks may send transactions as a combined feed under the primary account. If this is the case, you can still organize transactions manually by assigning them to the relevant subaccount after they are imported. This allows you to label each subaccount with the cardholder’s name or card-ending number while keeping things organized within QuickBooks.

For detailed guidance on how to setup subaccounts and bank feeds, check this article: Create subaccounts in QuickBooks Online.
