Hello feddy,
Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!
Are you referring to a company file within your client list? If so, you can click on the file and select the drop down arrow next to 'edit client', you will then get an option to make inactive.
Thanks,
Talia

Hello Feddy,
Thanks for sharing the screenshot, that clears up - you're using a Switch Company screen, instead of an accountancy firms screens.
Please do as follows:
Click into the file you do not want.
Click Cog Wheel
Click Account And Settings
Select Billing and Subscription
Click - Cancel
Thanks,
You can't actually delete a company file in QBO.
You can cancel billing subscription. Once it's canceled, it will be listed under "Cancelled Companies" for some scheduled time period as shown in this screenshot below and then removed by QuickBooks.
Thanks for adding that @vpcontroller, you're very correct :)
The timescale that your file will usually be deleted within is approx 12 months if previously subscribed. If you have any data you need from the account for your business tax records purposes, don't forget to export and save a copy of this information.
I've seen users rename their old files to do-not-use and similar, "old" is another one i see for those that have taken a new file out.
Thank you to everyone for your answer, it looks like I cant cancel subscription, but I think it is because I am in the trial period, I will try to delete companies if I will purchase the product.
Thanks again,
F
