How can you change messages on different invoice styles?

Welcome to the Community, @sc18I'm here to help you customize invoice messages in QuickBooks Online (QBO) according to your business preferences. To do this, we can go to the Custom Form Styles section and select the Content tab.

 

Here’s how you can do it:

 

  1. Click on the Gear icon at the top right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Choose the invoice style you want to personalize and click Edit.
  4. In the customization interface, find and click on the Emails tab.
  5. In the Message to Customer section, you can edit the messages to reflect the specific nuances of your business or the particular context of the invoice.
  6. Once done, click Save.

 

Please update the message manually each time you change the invoice style, this makes sure everything looks right and matches the invoice design you've chosen.

Thanks for the reply. The same message appears on all the invoice styles templates. How can you have a separate message on each style template saved?

Currently, updating the message on one invoice template affects all other templates, preventing you from saving unique information for each format.

 

With this, I recommend submitting feedback to our Product Development team to emphasize the importance of this feature for future improvements. To submit your request, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type in your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

 

As a workaround, manually update the message each time you create and send an invoice using a different style to ensure it matches your needs.
