I am trying to add a closing date to an employees SSP but the browser is showing an error message and nothing is happening. Anyone else get this, and is there a fix?

Hi there.

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to add a closing date to an employee's Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and encounter an error. Let's work on resolving this issue together.

Sometimes, our browser fills too much cache, which could cause malfunctions to some features or slow down a website. As of now, I can help you troubleshoot your browser to ensure it runs efficiently with QuickBooks. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window.

Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

If this works, you can clear your browser's cache and cookies. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

We also need to know the error message you're seeing to investigate the issue further. A screenshot will also be much appreciated.

Additionally, you can also consider editing or deleting a Statutory Sick Pay in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to leave a reply if you have further concerns. I'm here to assist you anytime.
