I cannot send emails manually or via the api from my developer sandbox. I am getting no useful error message. What settings could be missing?

My Account settings:
Company email: xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.xxx
Customer-facing email: same

The Send settings (From): Sandbox Company_GB_3 <xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx>
