This isn't the kind of service that I want you to experience with using bank feeds in the Online version, @linda45

Yes, it's possible to start setting up the bank connection again. But I'd like to ask if you received any errors when setting it up? Also, may I ask for your specific bank? This helps me provide you an accurate resolution to ensure everything is taken care of.

To start with, you'll first have to disconnect the account. This way, the transactions in your For Review tab will be deleted. Please take note you won't be able to download the bank transactions into the program again if they're older than 90 days. I'll guide you through the steps.

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select Banking
  3. Find your account and click the Pencil (Edit) icon.
  4. In the Account window, select Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Choose Save and close.

For more information about this process, see this article: Disconnect An Account

Once done, you'll have to reconnect the account. Please complete all the connection steps, such as reauthorising the bank by completing, printing, signing, and posting the authorisation form. This is to make sure the account will be connected successfully in the system. Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select Banking
  3. Click Add account
  4. Look through the results to find your bank. If you see it, select the bank emblem.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Manually enter your User ID and Password for the financial institution website.
  7. Complete the onscreen instructions if your bank requires additional security steps.
  8. Select the Account type, and then set the date range.
  9. Click Connect.

For detailed steps, you can go through this article: Connect Bank and Card Accounts

Once connected, the program will automatically download transactions without manual data entry required. You can approve the way the software categorises the bank transactions. Then, review and match them against the entries in QuickBooks. For more details about this, check out this article: Categorise Bank Transactions

In case there are duplicate transactions, you can exclude them from the Banking page. If you're still having problems connecting your account, you can perform the steps on how to fix it through this article: What To Do If Bank Transactions Won't Download

Please drop me a line below if you have other concerns. Just remember, I'll jump right back in to this thread to assist you further.

Thank you, this has been very helpful. Instead of just starting completely again - I will disconnect my banks feeds and try again!

The problem arose because the dealing with the Royal Bank of Scotland, this downloaded ok (after several attempts), but for some reason 2 of the accounts I have with them became mixed up with the wrong accounts on my Chart of Accounts. It may have been something I did, so to try again, now I know what I am doing will help.

I am also trying to connect and download with a Capital One Credit card account - which fails every time so far.

I have several more accounts to connect to so I'm hoping that this goes more smoothly today.

Many thanks again

Linda
