Hello there, @ysdimprovementsa. Yes, I can help.
Changing your company type can be done in the Account and Settings. We'll only need to follow a few steps to accomplish this process. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Account and Settings under Your Company.
- In the Company tab, look for the Company Type section.
- Click the Tax form drop-down arrow. Then, change it to Sole trader.
- Click Save to reflect the changes.
- Then, Done.

That will do. You may also need to log out and log back into your QuickBooks Online account to make sure what company type you've set up reflects your book.
I have an article about managing settings in QuickBooks Online. Use it as your resource for more insights and tips: Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online.
If you have other questions as you go along with QuickBooks, please post them here. I'll be around to help and respond to you as soon as I can. Take care and have a good one!
