I've sent a request to my accountant

I've sent a request to my accountant but they are saying they can't log into my account with the link. Has anyone any idea what is going wrong.

I've sent a request to my accountant

There are several steps your accountant (CPA) can take to resolve this matter and accept your invitation, Broady. I'm here to lay them out so they can promptly manage your account.

Beforehand, did your CPA encounter an error message while accessing the invitation link? Any additional information would help us resolve this matter accurately.

To begin with the procedure, the CPA should verify if you've sent the invite to the correct email address. It must be the same as their QuickBooks account's login credentials.

  1. Access the invitation link and select Accept Invitation.
  2. Login using your existing user ID and password.
  3. If they can see your account listed in the Clients tab, they now have the authorization to manage your books.

Also, please be reminded that your account must be active so your CPA can accept your invite and manage your company files. They must also exit other opened QuickBooks accounts to avoid errors accessing the link.

Once they still encounter an issue with the invitation, please let them open the link using a private browser:

  1. Open the email again and right-click the Accept Invitation link.
  2. Copy its web address.
  3. Select the elipsisicon on your web browser. Then, choose New Incognito Window/New Private Window.
  4. Right-click and paste the copied invitation link on the URL search bar.
  5. Sign using their accounting firm's credentials.

Whenever they still can't accept your invite after following the steps above, the sent link is expired. In this case, kindly re-send an invite to your CPA and delete the first one.

For additional reference, your CPA can review this link: What to do if you can't accept client invites in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

I'm also adding this article that contains complete information about handling your QuickBooks account: Account management. It could guide you to operate with your app integration, data, security, and login details.
