Ideas Exchange Forums. Issues.

With little fanfare Intuit introduced the Idea Exchange section of the forums, still with no direct link to it. It now appears the forum section is also broken. You change any of the filter settings the section greys out, same if you chance the posts per page.
Intuit, if you are serious about this forum you need to make it easier to get to, and at minimum make sure it actually work. Would also be a brilliant idea if you get the information out to your customer that this forum even exists.

@Ashleigh1Did you actually read my post. I am reporting that this section of the forums is BROKEN. It needs fixing, just like QBO needs fixing. I thought you Ashleigh typically answered with some clarity. I guess not,  you now sound like all the other reply bots.
Honestly I have never known a company so ignorant. You have the opportunity to help us, the PAYING customers make YOUR product better, while making the product worse.

 

I am beyond words. Wasted efforts, 24 year a customer, treated like a peice of dog excrement.

Hi Mark, thank you for bringing the issues with Idea Exchange board to our attention and please accept my sincere apologies for confusion with the previous answer. I was able to recreate the issue on my side and am working on resolving this for affected customers with the technical teams. The issue seems to be affecting some customers, therefore it may take longer to resolve as we try to pin point and address the cause of it.I also wanted to acknowledge your feedback on discoverability of Idea Exchange board. As it is currently at a soft launch phase, we have intentionally limited access to help us improve on internal processes and assess volumes of incoming ideas first. We are looking at how we can make the access easier for customers in a long term.

I have the same experience - the forum is broken and the feature request system does not work.

 

It will not be possible for any customer's feature request to reach 50 votes if the forum & the feature request is not visible unless you have a direct link.

The fact that customers have been requesting features for several years that have still not been included shows that it is not working or that the QB team has no intention of improving the product - important features like Custom Categories - which almost everyone will need - are missing and have been requested for years. Custom Categories should be considered a very basic requirement of a paid accounting software!

 

Please Quickbooks - get a grip on this - improve your product - listen to your customers - and fix the issues where our comments, discussions and requests are being hidden from other customers so that no-one ever reaches the 50 votes that you say is required for the team to consider changing and improving anything.

I am experiencing the same issue - cannot change pages or see more posts per page - the page refreshes to page 1 or greys out.

Support are telling me that I am the only person experiencing this and that it must be my browser, which I find difficult to believe - all other pages that I access online work without this problem.

I'm glad to see that another user has also pointed this out here - I hope that QB support will now believe this and resolve it.

Even though @Ashleigh1 has confirmed it's an issue some weeks ago when I first posted the issue?

I've tried on on MacOS using Safari and Firefox, I have tried on Win11 using Edge, Firefox and Chrome, I have tried on iPadOS using Safari and Firefox, and Chrome. Guess what, they are all the same.

Thanks Mark for confirming that you also have this issue and have tried all these browser platforms with the same results. 

Support are trying to tell me that I'm the only person with this issue which simply isn't true. They also told me that nobody else had mentioned it - also not true.

Can someone from Quickbooks support respond please.

 

The feature request system is still broken - I am not the only person experiencing this. It was mentioned some weeks ago & there have been no developments or improvements.

 

Also - The Assistant within the software itself is still broken (and has been for months) - It still says that it is being worked on and will be fixed - despite your customer support stating that QB has no intention of fixing the Assistant.

 

When will these issues be fixed?

Hello JSSE, we have already reported this as we have told you before. In regards to the assist within the software, we have already told you we had added you on to an investigation and any updates you will get an email and we have also requested that the message gets changed.

Yes, you have told me that before - and yet it has been broken for some weeks (at least) and nothing seems to be changing or improving.

 

To be fair, you also told me that nobody else was experiencing this issue, which was untrue - (you had already replied to another customer who had reported the same issue) - so forgive me for not being 100% convinced that something is being done about this. There is no evidence that anything is being done to resolve it.

Another week has now passed - still no change or improvement - or update.

And yet it is over a month since it was reported on this thread that the system was not working - but no change or improvement.

The impression being given is that Quickbooks has no interest in or consideration for their customers experience of their products. 

I have been repeatedly advised to submit feature requests to a system that has not worked for over a month and continues to be non functional. 

What is the purpose of this Ideas Exchange forums if users cannot use it? It does not work.

Another week has passed and still no change or improvement to this.

 

It has been some months now that this Ideas Exchange Forum has not worked properly. 

I haven't seen any comments from users saying that it is working for them. Everyone who has commented is saying that it is not functioning - on all browser, all OS platforms etc.

Any updates on when this will be resolved?

Thank you for bringing this thread to my attention @Mark Armistead & and @JSSE. I will be working with our engineers in the next few days to get some fixes out. The technical issues called out here will be something we'll be looking at when applying a fix.
