Hi there, charles52.

Let me help you by making sure you'll be able to connect your American Express (AMEX) account to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I've checked our records and found out that the investigation about this has been marked as closed by our engineering team. As a workaround, you can import the transactions manually via CSV file in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. From the Transactions tab, select Banking.
  2. In the Link account drop-down, select Upload from the file.
  3. Click the Drag and drop or select files button.
  4. Select the CSV file and then Open it.
  5. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks.
  7. Select the transactions
  8. Select Yes.
  9. Click Let's go.

After that, you can categorise them in order to allocate them to the appropriate account.

However, If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Support Team. They can take a closer look at your situation and investigate this further.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

To make sure you get prioritized on your concern. Please check out our support hours and contact us at a time convenient: Support hours and types.

I've got here a helpful guide that you can use when performing the reconciliation process in making sure your accounts are balanced: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

Feel free to post a reply below if you have other questions about connecting your bank to QuickBooks. I'll be here to help you. Stay safe.

Ive been unable to re-connect AMEX card to QB since Sep 2022. Amex Says "Connecting with Intuit France SAS is not available in your region." ANy ideas whats going on ?

Ive received a message from QB saying " We are pleased to inform you that your issue has been resolved. The resolution has been implemented and this bank account should be ready for your use." However the issue is not resolved and I am still unable to reconnect my Amex credit card to QB. I am still getting the following message " We're Sorry We cannot connect to your account. Connecting with Intuit France SAS is not available in your region. You will now be logged out of American Express account and returning to Intuit France SAS, where all use is governed by Intuit France SAS's terms and conditions and subject to its privacy and security policies and practices."

If I cannot get my Amex Card working again with QB then I will need to terminate my Amex Card because I do not have all day to mess around downloading and uploading transactions. Im very busy trying to run my business without these kind of headaches.

Pls can you look into this issue again.

Thank you.

Hi there, @mbip1988. I want to ensure you'll be able to connect to your bank account seamlessly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The issue about the American Express (AMEX) account connection with QBO was already tagged as closed and resolved.

To further investigate why you still encounter that error when attempting to connect it, I highly recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. This use specific tools to pull up your account and review the set-up. They can also provide an additional set of steps to fix the error. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, select the Help icon.
  2. Next, go to the QB Assistant tab and a brief description of your concern.
  3. Then, click Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  4. Choose either the Start a chat or Call us option.

On the other hand, you can also manually import bank transactions to QBO via CSV file. To get started, check out this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

To ensure you'll get assisted immediately, feel free to visit our support hours page.

I've also added this helpful resource that you can use as a guide in balancing your accounts to match your real-life bank statement: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

If you have any other banking concerns, please don't hesitate to post a reply below. I'm always here ready to lend a hand. Have a good one and keep safe.
