Afternoon all,

I have QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 14.0 R1 (Desktop) and would like to find out how do I change my preferences to allow only one copy of an invoice to be printed and to require a password to print it again

I can see how the ability to require a password when printing invoices would meet your business needs, ryanroets. I'm here to share some insight.

As of now, we're unable to add a password when printing sales transactions in QuickBooks Desktop. I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve your experience with the program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Help, then click Send Feedback Online.
  2. Enter your request or product suggestion, then select Next.
  3. Click Skip and send a message, and choose Feedback as the Category.

As for choosing how many copies you'd like to print, you can do this on the Print Invoices menu. Please see the attached screenshot below for visual reference.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you manage your invoices in QuickBooks Desktop. This ensures your record is accurate: Sales and Customers.

Please get back to me if you have questions about managing QuickBooks, ryanroets. I want to make sure you're taken care of. It's always my priority to help.

I don't want to export my files to require a password. I want a way to limit the amount of copies to be made when printing to 1 and for every copy after that an administrator password to be required. So basically the reprinting of an invoice should not be possible. It can be printed once and done.
