Natwest Instant saver Account will not connect through open banking

Hi

Please can you help

I have managed to successfully connect my Natwest Current account to link with Quickbook accountant online however my Natwest Instant Saver account does not show up on the natwest eligible account list when trying to connect it through Quickbooks

I have spoken to Natwest who assure me that the Instant Saver account is available through open banking and not restricted from their end and the problem must be with Quickbooks

Is this the case and is there a solution other than downloading CSV files and importing them.

Many thanks

Natwest Instant saver Account will not connect through open banking

Thank you for the clarification, Peter Farrington.

On the list of bank accounts available on Open Banking, NatWest Saver Account is unavailable. You'll want to check out the article  Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking.

In the meantime, you have the option to temporarily import your banking transactions using a CSV file. Check out this article if you want to try out this option: Import Bank Transactions Using Excel CSV Files.

Let me know if you need anything else so I can get back here and offer my help again.

Thank you for contacting us, Peter Farrington,

Let me help verify why you're unable to use the open banking for NatWest Instant Saver account.

I've checked the update from bank feeds and found out that open banking for NatWest Bank, Credit Card, and BankLine is now available.

While NatWest Offshore - Online Banking is still unsupported for the new connection. This could be the reason why you're still unable to connect through open banking.

The workaround to keep your books accurate is to manually upload transactions into QuickBooks.

You can refer to this article for additional information: Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking.

Natwest Instant saver Account will not connect through open banking

Hi Mary

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately this doesn't solve the problem

My Account is NOT an offshore account

I have 2 accounts with Natwest, One is a uk online "current account" and this account connects to quick books without any problems.  The second Natwest account is a uk online "saver account" and this account is the account I am having difficulty with.

When I go through the process of connecting the account from Quickbooks, once I have entered my bank account login details the "Saver account" is not listed as an account available to connect to Quickbooks, even through Natwest tell me on the telephone that the account can be connected without restriction and it must be a quickbooks problem or restriction.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Peter
