New Menu Bookmarks, Bookmark Section.

As I've previously ask for we still don't have a change log of any form of communication regarding new features.

This morning we now have a new feature called, Bookmarks, which is under the, erm Bookmarks menu list... Crack marketing team at Intuit have outdone themselves this time.

Anyway. It seem very odd and doesn't seem to be working as intended. I managed to get two customer shortcut to two reports I visit several time per day, which, does save time. However, it's all a bit odd. You can't add more than two, or is this the max allowed? Then, I removed one bookmark and now can't add any additional one as it just defaults to the one already in place.

@JackSI'll tag you in this but I'll expect the bots to be answering with some unrelated suggestion about deleting browser cache....

Hi Mark The Boomark function only enables you to create two additional bookmarks, as you have discovered, however you can also choose the default options. We will certainly submit your feedback to our developers and hopefully they maybe able to implement a more robust bookmark system in the future that will enable customers to create a number of their own bookmarks. We also recommend that you leave feedback from within the system, select the cog/gear icon > Feedback.

Thanks for the reply John. I tested this on both my QBO account and can confirm that you end up with only one bookmark and will only do one if you have edited the original two which a user added. As in, it's broken already.

Some actual instructions on how to get the maximum two shortcuts would be more productive than asking users to send in feedback in to the black hole, which is the feedback system.

Hi Mark We appreciate that if you then create more bookmarks the original bookmark/s are overwritten, this is also something that we have submitted to our developers. We have included an article that references creating bookmarks: https://intuit.me/4cezf2W

Hi Jack. After further messing about it appears that the custom bookmark can be only ONE from the Reports. Adding a new report shortcut overwrites the previously saved one. You can however add any actual main page as a second short cut, which, is what we already have in the bookmarks section anyway. This means that this new customer bookmarked bookmark is basically one report.

I do like the idea and it makes sense to have customer shortcut, especially to reports, as it takes multiple clicks to get to a report. I personally think up to 3-5 shortcuts to reports would be very useful.

Thanks for the link about bookmarks, however, this new customer bookmarked bookmarks isn’t included in that reference page. Again, behind the curve with new options, not telling users what’s going on or how to get the best out of it.
