New Navigation Menu, Again!

So after the last debackle when the menus were changed for none professional worded navigation. It appears Intuit are determind to make a total mess of things yet again.

What I'd like to know if where do these suggestion from customers come from as I've seen nothing but complaints about the constant changes. There's no discussion on here about this new change and none of the UK Facebook support page?

Can Intui actually show us what it's going to look like?

New Navigation Menu, Again!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for showing interest and for your comments. Regarding where the customer suggestions come from; here at Intuit, we strive to gather as much customer feedback as possible. This can be from the end-of-call surveys we send, Voice of the customer (VOC) gathered via our case notes, customer interviews etc. We will then use this feedback to build a case for creating/changing/removing features or anything else we find the need to work on. Speaking to the next Left Nav change mentioned above and providing you with a preview, we are hoping to have something ready for you to view soon and we will let you know when that time comes. We are in the process of finalizing everything at the moment.

It would Ashleigh as I don't see any involvement with your customer base anywhere, as I said.
I'm guessing you'll not be able to share what the menus will be in preparation? Too many change are a bad thing for efficiency. Rewording and pointless changes cost time and money.
But, I’d expect little effort to keep us informed as Intuit can’t even fixed basic problem which have gone off for years. Introducing ‘new features’. Yeah fix the missing one first will you please.

New Navigation Menu, Again!

My heart sank when I saw the email @Mark Armistead.

I'm not sure I have the strength to argue with Intuit any more.  They must be right in what they're doing - feedback is their guiding light - their valued customers have asked for this.

(all said with massive sarcasm!)

Best guess is that One Menu means that the previous difference(s) between the Business version & Accountant version will be scrapped.  Everyone will be on the lowest common denominator (i.e. Business View) - so bad luck if you prefer the Accountant View.

I was thinking the same Paul. No upthink, only dumb down.

I strongly believe one of the reason why Desktop is/was so popular was how little it changed over decades. Muscle memory and all that made if very efficient for long term users.
The animations are tiring on the eyes. Made even worse when there’s duplication on the ’shortcuts’ section. The only shortcut I have is Reconcile which saves one click. Except I always forget it’s there and go to the original location, because that’s where it’s been for a year. Plus, the new enhanced reports look gash on a wide screen. I didn’t see of us users being asked on out thoughts or suggestions about these new ‘features’

To be fair there has been one change which I am glad for. The new edit shortcut per invoice on the invoices section. Saves one click.

Oh also. Half the reason why they are going to dumb down the menu is so the can use the 'prefessional' named and looking on on Advanced only. Charging extra for GUI changes.
