We recognize that the recent update to the QuickBooks layout and interface is a significant change, Spanr69. It's an immediate adjustment when the tools you rely on daily suddenly look and navigate differently.
The reason your entire layout and interface have changed is due to the recent global modernization of the QuickBooks Online user interface. This update provides a more intuitive experience for all users worldwide.
The new interface is rolling out to all QuickBooks users. But, you still have the option to switch it back to the older version.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon located at the top right corner of the page.
- Click the Switch back to the previous QuickBooks experience. To go back to the older version.
However, please note that this option is only temporary. Intuit is migrating all users to this updated system-wide interface to ensure everyone benefits from the latest features, improvements, and AI-driven functionality.
Although the design has changed, the core workflows remain the same. The main difference you'll notice is that the primary menu on the left and the features are organized separately within it.
Despite the design changes, the core workflows are the same. Most key accounting lists and tools are in the Gear icon in the top right. To create new transactions, such as invoices or bills, click the (+ New button) in the top left.
