Please help as my bank feed for all connected banks is not updating since early April.

There are possible reasons why your bank feeds is not updating in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Amado.

To begin with, may I ask the names of the specific bank accounts that were not updated in QBO? Additional information can help me offer you a specific solution. Also, you can visit your bank provider websites to see if any announcements or maintenance updates that could affect your bank feed updates. Here's how you can check:

  1. Go to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. If you're unsure what URL to use, find it by going to Bank Transactions.
  3. Click Link account search for your bank and select it. Then, copy the URL listed.
  4. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website. If you can sign in, it indicates this isn't the major issue.
  5. On your bank's website, check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.

If everything is fine, log in to your QBO account and try to update your banks. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2.  Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  3. Select Update
  4. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and select Continue update. You must enter these credentials within 2 minutes of being prompted. Multi-Factor Authentication is any security precaution that requests more than a single username and password.

You can check out this article on the detailed steps of updating the banks in QuickBooks: Use automatic and manual online banking updates in QuickBooks Online.

If you've verified everything on your bank's end and still your bank hasn't updated, I recommend accessing your QBO through an incognito window. This helps rule out any excessive data build-up.

Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After starting a new private browsing session, log in to your account and check if this resolves the connectivity problem. If it does, clearing your browser's cache will help the program run smoothly and eliminate technical issues. You can also try using other devices and supported browsers as alternatives.

To enter your all bank transactions for the month of April, you can visit this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks.

I'll share this valuable resource in that can help you set up bank rules in the future in QBO: Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.
