Let me provide some details about the feature to give you a little background on what is this all about, Connie_D.
In QuickBooks Online Accountant, you'll have to turn on the projects feature if you want to use them. Unlike with the other versions such as Plus and Advanced, by default, it's already turned on. To turn this on in QBOA, you can follow the steps below:
- Click the Gear icon. Then select Company Settings.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Find the Projects section and select Edit to expand it.
- Turn on the Use project financial tracking toggle.
- Select Save and then Done.
Once done, you can start creating a new project. Here's how:
- Go to Business overview and select Projects (Take me there).
- Select Start a project if this is the first time you are creating. Or select New Project if you've already created one.
- In the Project Name field, enter the project name.
- Select the project customer from the Customer ▼ dropdown.
- Add any notes or details about the project in Notes.
- Select Save.
